Aerial survey in lower Vistula river and Bug and Narew rivers valleys - the 1 st year preliminary report.
In June, I was preparing the flights planed by July. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't the best for archaeological aerial photography this summer and I had the possibility to made only two flights. The first one I made in north-eastern Poland, close to the Narew river valley and the second one I made in northern Poland. I found several archaeological sites and other places, which are interesting for the archaeologists and can be used for the conservation services responsible for the policy of protection of the cultural landscape.
The example of the archaeological sites and the other interesting places, found during aerial survey:
Banki, pow. Bielsk Podlaski – multiphase settlement from the roman period and middle age;
Klewinowo, pow. Bialystok – pits;
Krasna Wies, pow. Bielsk Podlaski – settlement and hillfort from 12 th century;
Ploski – old style village, with wooden houses surround with small fields;
Narew valley – natural landscapes from north-eastern Poland;
Weklice, pow. Elblag – excavation on the wielbark culture graveyard.
